Breastfeeding Advocacy

🤍 Breastfeeding Advocacy at The Lucky Latch

At The Lucky Latch, breastfeeding advocacy is at the heart of everything we do. We believe that every parent deserves compassionate support, accurate information, and a nurturing space to feel confident in their feeding journey.

🌱 Empowering Families

We provide gentle, evidence-based guidance to help parents understand the benefits of breastfeeding — not just for baby’s health, but for the lifelong connection it nurtures. We honor each family’s unique story and support their individual goals.

🛡️ Protecting Breastfeeding Rights

Through advocacy and education, we work to create a culture that respects and protects breastfeeding. Whether it’s in the workplace, in public spaces, or at home, we stand for policies that make breastfeeding a supported choice, not a struggle.

💞 Creating Safe, Supportive Spaces

Breastfeeding isn’t always easy — but no one should have to do it alone. At The Lucky Latch, we offer judgment-free, hands-on lactation counseling and heartfelt encouragement, so families feel seen, heard, and supported every step of the way.

🌸 Normalizing & Celebrating Breastfeeding

I’m here to help shift the narrative — to celebrate the beauty of breastfeeding, remove the stigma, and normalize all the ways it looks in real life. Public, private, bottle, boob, supplementing — it’s all part of the journey, and it all deserves honor.

Breastfeeding and Medication

If you're concerned about the safety of breastfeeding while taking medication, I recommend speaking with your child’s pediatrician first. We are so blessed because my daughter’s pediatrician is very pro breastfeeding! If you can‘t reach your pediatrician in a timely manner then I suggest consulting with the LactMed Database or the MommyMeds app. What I have found through my experiences is that a lot of the breastfeeding knowledge doctors possess is often ARCHAIC.  But with more advocacy and education, we can help change that view! Breastfeeding moms are in need of pain relief at times And various other medications.
